I'm from a small town in the hilly part of Ohio. I moved a bit south to go to Ohio University, where I learned a lot about what I didn't want to do with my life. I changed my major 4 times, but I ended up with a degree in Geography/Meteorology.

Within a few weeks I was westbound. I spent two sweet years in Utah, where, among many other things, I picked up a Masters degree in Geology.

Now I'm in Alaska, working as a geologist for the National Park Service.

I get to go to a lot of great places. The purpose of this site is mostly to share photos of those places with friends and family. I try to update it ~monthly, but sometimes life gets the best of me and I don't get a chance to. If you made it this far, I'd love to hear from you... send me an email to say hi.
